Thanksgiving 2004

Appetizers: Crimped shrimp, apricot thrones with cheese and pecans, spinach dip and grapes. Main Course: Awesome tangerine-glazed turkey, sweet potatoes with Southern Comfort, green beans with parsley-pecan pesto, party potatoes, corn casserole, and summer squash. Dessert-pumpkin pie, of course, and blackberry pie for Ryan. Wine in abundance from Sonoma.

Our newest family member, Nathaniel, was the star of the day held here by his Grandpa Larry. Others who were able to celebrate with us were Great Grandma and Grandpa Clark, Linda, Jennifer, Kyleigh, Lorinda & Kevin (Nathaniel's parents), Ryan, and me-Bad Betty. It was a wonderful family day. We called and wished Anthony a Happy 4th Birthday. His daddy sent him photos and greetings from Iraq. We all remember fondly them being with us last year and we look forward to celebrating together again.

Farmer's Market in Pinole

I love small town Pinole on days like this in November. I can walk to the market, stop by the park to read the paper, and come home to hummingbirds still at the feeder. Now if Cal can win our football game this afternoon it will be perfect day!

The Cal Football team is ranked #5. We were #4 last week and everyone is so excited about the possibility of the Rose Bowl this year. Larry and I are planning to attend. Go Bears!
